This painting is based around winter in the mountains and the promise of routes through them. My smaller paintings examine the interaction of colour and shapes. They specifically looks at how I make and decide upon marks within my work and references how colour and light can be seen when looking at it closely in the environment around us. Its capacity to surprise and create joy.
