This painting is inspired by the movement and buoyancy of birds around the seashore. My smaller paintings examine the interaction of colour and shape. They specifically look at how I make and decide upon marks within my work and reference how colour and light can be seen when looking at it closely in the environment around us. Its capacity to surprise and create joy.
